This vessel was built as a research vessel commissioned by the University of London’s marine laboratory and was completely transformed into an expedition cruising yacht in 2008.
The heavy GRP hull was completely gutted and all systems were removed and replaced with new. A new aluminum superstructure, bridge wings, cap rail, forward rail and boat deck rail were installed. All the windows were removed and replaced with new. The hull, deck and superstructure were completely thermo-insulated down to the water line. All the paint on the hull, both inside and out, was removed and re-coated.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Broker's Comments
We are pleased to offer to the boating public such a high-quality, unique vessel.
By design and build this expedition trawler offers a variety of ocean experiences and cruising lifestyles. Whether extensive inland cruising, coastal travel or ocean crossing this boat has the qualities to provide safe, comfortable travel. The hull was built as a research vessel for the University of London. In 2008 a total re-fit was performed. After stripping out all but the hull and engines, which were installed new in 2002, a new super structure of aluminum was added. The redesign provided a walk-in, stand up engine room, new pilot house, bridge wings, new deck house, new upper deck and a modern saloon, galley and two comfortable state rooms. The builder-designer was influenced by the tradition of North Sea trawlers like Romsdal and Malahide. His desire was to echo the seakeeping qualities as well as the tradition of simplicity, with modern and traditional materials and systems.
