Broker's Comments

This great example of the classic Grand Banks 36 Trawler has been lovingly repaired, restored and upgraded by an owner who has treated this boat like a member of the family. For at least the past 7 years it has been boathouse kept. New paint inside and out makes it a very attractive vessel. The hull, bootstripe and bottom are scheduled to be painted as soon as weather permits. Long term restorations and upgrades include 12V and AC electrical panels, all new helm gauges, windows, countertops, cabin heat, headliners, teak deck caulking and bungs, plus regular brightwork care. This boat appears as a tight and strong example of a very family-friendly design. Wide side decks and a generous cockpit provide lots of room to move around, while giving a genuine sense of safety. The diesel engines are Ford Lehmans and provide for fuel-efficient cruising.

The seller is very active in the Puget Sound Grand Banks Association and will be happy to tutor a new owner and introduce him or her to the joys of Northwest cruising.
