Cruising speed is better stated as a range of 8 to 15 knots rather than a single number. Due to the KEELFORM hull, the boat operates efficiently at speeds up to 15 knots because of the lift provided by the unique keel. The fuel consumption figure above is simply a representative data point.
Tremendous battery capacity -- six golf cart batteries comprise the house bank, and four comprise the start bank and also support the bow thruster.
Village Marine 400 gpd watermaker; 6KW Northern Lights generator; 2800 W Pure Sine inverter/charger; engine and genset spares; Reverso oil change system (with steel gears) for engine, genset and transmission.
An inspection of the engine room reveals the craftsmanship and purpose in this boat. Everything is arrayed and installed "just so", with extraordinary access and cleanliness.

The Camano's Keelform hull combines a true planing hull with a large, deep, hollow, v-shaped displacement keel. The keel itself creates considerable buoyancy, and adds lift as the boat moves forward. The hollow v-shaped design allows the engine to be placed very low in the hull for a low center of gravity. The result is a stable boat that demonstrates a very linear relationship between speed and fuel consumption -- much more fuel-efficient at speeds in excess of 10 knots than similarly-sized semi-displacement vessels.
Aluminum fuel tanks; plastic water tanks.
Hull is solid, hand-laid FRP with molded structural stringer system. Keel is mat and roving reinforced with carbon fiber in high-stress areas. Hull sides are cored with closed cell foam above the waterline. Deck areas cored with balsa for stiffening and sound/thermal insulation. Insulated engine room. Exterior doors and windows are welded, powder-coated aluminum. Extra-thick safety glass in all windows.
The Camano 41 was developed as a line extension based on the popular Camano 31 model of performance trawlers. It benefits fully from the highly evolved design and refined construction techniques of a model that was fundamentally unchanged but continuously improved in its many years of production. And it received many unique and appealing design features of its own to make this a very civilized vessel for a couple with occasional cruising guests.
Bridge clearance with the radar mast up is 19' 6". With the mast and the bimini lowered bridge clearance is 13' 6".

Broker's Comments
Captain Bill Pike, in his review of the Camano 41 in the January 2007 issue of Power and Motoryacht wrote: "Upon entering the saloon...I beheld a vision of such ethereal loveliness, it stunned me into immobility, at least for a moment". The reviewer was describing the expansive saloon finished in sapele and mahogany, and the many large windows providing an unobstructed 360 degree view of the water. This is a lovely boat.
The unique Keelform hull provides excellent tracking at all speeds and unusually good fuel efficiency above displacement speeds. The low center of gravity provides a stable ride, and the bow flare makes for a dry ride. This feels like a much bigger boat on the water.
This boat is a demonstrator for its dealer, and has never been titled. It is loaded with equipment and is ready to cruise.
