Construction

GRP Construction with Full-Displacement underwater profile, gelcoat finish
EXTENSIVE REBUILD COMPLETED IN 2002: The hull was laid up in 1978, but from 1992-2002 a bulbous bow was added, the aft cabin superstructure was built, and stabilizers added. The interior of the boat was completely gutted and thoughtfully rebuilt for maximum amounts of storage space and living comfort.

Heavily constructed with fiberglass decks, cabin and 1" solid fiberglass laminate hull. Bulbous bow, fantail stern, round bottom with 5000 lb weighted keel. Keel extends below propellers for protection of running gear. Custom-built 1" stainless steel side rails and 1/2" chocks/cleats. Rugged construction on the exterior accented by a manageable amount of brightwork while the interior has great woodwork and a high-end luxurious feel to it.

Every inch of this custom 49' trawler was thoughtfully constructed for comfortable long-range cruising and living aboard, and she enjoyed a complete rebuild and the addition of new systems and equipment from 1992-2002. The exterior is ruggedly built to withstand rough seas and poor weather, yet the interior has a warm, inviting feeling to it. There is beautiful, solid red oak with purpleheart-accented woodwork and joinery throughout the boat that must be seen to fully appreciate. The wood was imported from South America and carefully installed to standards that no mass manufacturer could duplicate. Every nook and cranny of the boat has been utilized for built-in storage with well constructed drawers, boxes or cedar-lined hanging lockers. All of the wiring is clearly labeled and cleanly installed. The owners achieved an astonishing feat by making every wiring connection accessible for monitoring or maintenance. This vessel is designed for smooth, fuel-efficient performance with economical and reliable engines, a bulbous bow, and active fin stabilizers. There is simply too much to list - this boat has everything!
