We (Scott and Lisa Helker of Waterline Boats) were fortunate to spend time with John and Betsie Tegtmeyer (owners of Krogen Express Yachts) aboard their aptly-named demo boat JOY in Hilton Head South Carolina a couple of days last month. We learned a great deal about the beautiful KE52’ from the bilge to the flybridge and were genuinely impressed with the caliber of craftsmanship and thoughtful design throughout. And the ride — we can only say “wow”. Smooth, quiet, flat in turns, and a greyhound among its trawler-styled brethren. We left Hilton Head more convinced than ever that the Krogen Express 52’ is wonderfully well-fitted for Northwest cruising.
