Total LOA 38'-3". Hunter builds the hull with balsa-cored sandwich above the waterline, and solid glass with Kevlar reinforcements below. This cost-effective and proven method of construction keeps weight down, and increases impact resistance where it matters. HKT Kevlar is used to reinforce the hull forward of the keel. The deck is bonded to the hull and through-bolted on an outboard flange. A stainless steel-capped vinyl rubrail protects the hull/deck joint from bumps and bruises. The lead/antimony keel is connected to the structural hull grid with stainless-steel bolts. The hull and house are further protected by the incorporation of Maxguard UV inhibiting gelcoat. A large balanced spade rudder with a composite stock adds to the efficiency of the lateral plane, on the 386. Comfort, low maintenance, and ease of use figure prominently in this boat design, so molded-in nonskid surfaces on deck are complemented by low-maintenance laminate Everwear sole material below, which is designed to withstand abuse much better than teak and holly, without the fuss or varnish. The generous 6 foot 6 inch headroom in the main salon, framed in solid teak, achieves spaciousness. On the inside of the cabin top, Hunter uses a light headliner that offers easy access to deck hardware and wiring, and also helps keep the center of gravity low. Once again, Hunter has produced a durable, well-designed boat that is rock solid, safe, comfortable, with a functional interior living environment, and offers outstanding performance and easy handling ! Thank you, Hunter !!

A Webasto forced air diesel furnace with three Stations provides cabin heat. The 386 Hunter has been one of the most popular models for Hunter over the years. The space and accomodations are perfect for a family, open and airy, with a great galley, convertible dinette, and two fabulous cabins. Forward is an open and comfortable V berth with an ensuite vanity for privacy. Storage is provided below the V berth, and in and above the hanging locker. There is an opening window/door aft into the main salon for socializing or privacy. When open, this feature provides a feeling of greater spaciousness. Moving aft, there is a long settee to port, and a large convertible U shaped dinette to starboard. The navigation station is on the aft end of the port settee, and the galley is aft of the dinette, to starboard. The master cabin aft is accessed directly through the galley to starboard, or through the head and shower on the port side. This design allows access to the head directly from the master cabin, without having to come out into the main cabin area. The master cabin aft features an athwartship queen size berth, hanging lockers to port and starboard, a dressing seat to port, and easy access to the back side of the engine. Navy blue leather upholstery, accord window shades, and cedar lined hanging lockers round out the features of this spacious interior. This interior cabin space enjoys abundant natural light that streams in through large cabin side portlights, two dedicated skylights, and nine opening hatches, which also allow for tremendous fresh air ventilation. In addition, this vessel has a dodger, extended bimini to the stern, and complete full enclosure, which provides a whole additional year-round living space, with cushioned seating and comfort for eight people. This 386 Hunter family cruiser offers impressive liveability, and incredible spaciousness, that one would not normally expect to find in a boat in this size range. Hats off to the Hunter Design Team!!

Broker's Comments
Coach4U is an excellent example of one of Hunter's most popular models over the years. This 386 model has been very well maintained, with many upgrades, by a very knowledgeable owner. With a freshly serviced engine and running gear, new bottom paint, a complete detail of hull and house, all new batteries, new electronics inverter, new isenglass, and some new canvas to renew the full enclosure, this beautiful vessel is fit and ready to take cruising!! A recent price reduction makes this a must see vessel! These boat details are subject to contract, and offers on the asking price may be considered.
