Built by respected Canadian manufacturer Cooper Yachts, the Maple Leaf 48 is a hand-laid glass reinforced plastic hull sloop with a roomy 15' 6" beam. Teak is used extensively throughout the interior and the cockpit. She is beamy aft. The seller reports that she handles well in following seas. This is a heavy, sea-kindly, but reasonably fast cruising boat suitable for world traveling or coastal cruising.
The cockpit is fully enclosed with new enclosure installed in 2011.
9500 lb lead ballast.
There is a 12 gallon day tank and transfer pump to move fuel from other tanks to the day tank. Fuel can also be transferred tank to tank.
The boat was hauled and bottom painted in spring 2014.
All the exterior teak was reworked summer 2014 and looks very fresh.
Dimensions and capacities have not been independently verified by Waterline Boats / Boatshed and are reported from seller information and/or literature.

Broker's Comments
This Cooper Yachts Maple Leaf 48 Sloop appears extremely well kept. I was impressed with just how clean, spacious and comfortable she is. The interior is truly spotless. She has a large aft cabin (entered via companionway from the main cabin or from the aft cockpit -- both convenient and private) with a custom queen mattress and a full-sized vanity table with mirrors. There is an incredible abundant amount of useable storage and it is well-lit throughout. The salon is such that one doesn't even feel "below."
Maple Leaf 48s have a great reputation for family cruising or offshore work. This boat would make a wonderful live-aboard. Thanksgiving dinner could be served for eight+ around the big dining table, while others could be sitting and chatting on the other side of the salon on the bench at the same time. It's that roomy.
A pilot berth opposite the engine room can be used for sleeping OR storage. There are 9 large drawers for storage in this area. The engine room is full height "stand-up." It's a real engine "room" with a work bench and good access to mechanicals.
The hull design carries good beam aft so it's reported to be very friendly in a following sea and has huge interior volume (really - no cramped feeling in this boat). The cockpit is fully enclosed, heated, and can easily seat 8-10 people. Shirt sleeve sailing in January is a reality! All lines lead to the cockpit so there is seldom a need to go on deck during foul weather. The deck is easy to move about on, with plenty of space.
It is is currently moored in private moorage at La Conner, WA. The moorage is transferable at a cost of $350.00 per month plus metered power.
