Cheoy Lee built hulls with a heavy layup of fiberglass. Having built over 4500 yachts from the 1950's through the 1980's Cheoy Lee may well be one of the most recognizable names in boat building. Issues with leaking boats in the early years had been addressed by this later model boat. The Cheoy Lee brand has a very strong owners association found online. CSR boat yard in Seattle installed a 3 blade Maxi prop in 2009 which required some rudder rebuilding. All through-hulls were checked, scupper hoses changed. Boat has received regular maintenance. The standing rig on this vessel was replaced in 2004 with some additional replacement done in 2013. All windows and hatches have been re-bedded and rebuilt where needed with new wood. Both main and mizzen masts have been re-varnished July 2015 with 2 coats of (5 year) varnish and the cap rail, hatches and other deck level wood all varnished June of 2016. The boat was hauled in June 2016 for bottom painting, new zink anodes, through hull fittings were lubricated. The prop was lubed and polished at this time as well. This was all done in anticipation of a trip to the San Juan Islands which was enjoyed by her owners.
Note: dimensions and capacities are taken from literature and/or seller-provided information. Waterline Boats / Boatshed Seattle does not independently verify these measurements.

Broker's Comments
The Cheoy Lee Offshore 41 is simply one of the prettiest boats on the water if your taste leans toward traditional styling. This boat has been very well maintained and thoughtfully upgraded. The varnish work is beautiful and she has a full winter cover to keep her clean and preserved. She is currently owned by just her second owner and has spent something close to 85% of her life in fresh water. She could make a comfortable live aboard or a world cruiser.
