This Pilot Vessel looks as if she has been really well maintained and is in regular use. She is currently used for pleasure trips and has been hired for various TV companies in the UK and abroad. She has a recently renewed PLA licence to carry 12 passengers. She currently takes passengers to land at the Red Sands Forts in the Thames Estuary. Her top deck being the ideal height for this use.
The engine has also been serviced annually. The owner pointed out that she would be great for fishing too.
The owner informs me that this Pilot Vessel has a massive range.
Note that one of the holding tanks is for blackwater and the other for greywater. They are quite new and make of fibreglass.
Last out of the water Survey was in 2021 and was very complimentary.

Accommodation

Total # of berths 2
No. of double berths 1
Cabin(s) 3
Handbasin 1
Shower 1
Heads 1 heads (Sea Toilet)

The accommodation is currently arranged and fitted out with passengers in mind. However, the lowest deck could be altered, without interfering with bulkheads, to provide further berths. Also the owner suggested that the huge aft locker could have the coachroof raised to provide a spacious aft cabin.
The galley could be modernised to accommodate more worksurface and white goods, giving her a liveaboard capability. She is very cosy and benefits from radiators which are heated by a diesel system. Down below decks the cabin currently has a sofa in it but can easily accommodate a double bed. The heads is very spacious and is currently set up with a large shower and a large Butler sink so is great for divers etc.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.

This Pilot Vessel is a fully operational work boat licensed by the Port Of London Authorities to carry up to 16 people. Built in 1967 by James W Cook & Co with the main purpose as a pilot vessel and fitted with a Kelvin 8 cylinder 240hp diesel engine for long range economical cruising.

This boat has been maintained to a exceptional standard due to her commercial work based on the Red Sand towers in the Thames Estuary. Other onboard equipment includes a full fire safety system, life jackets etc.

There is a 2021 dry dock hull survey available for genuinely interested buyers.

This fabulous pilot boat is a really lovely vessel. She has a special charm and was a pleasure to photograph. Pilot vessels are small, sturdy and powerful vessels that can manoeuvre ships as well. I really wish that I could buy this pilot boat and take people for excursions to the Thames!

She looks as if she has been well maintained for commercial standards and the owner informs me that one of her last exciting ventures was to star in the film World War Z that Brad Pitt appeared in.

Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
