This vessel was designed by Art Nordtvedt. Art was involved in the creation of Uniflite Yachts, Nordic Yachts, Fast Passage Sailboats and many other custom yachts. The vessel was built in Bellingham, Washington at the Weldcraft Steel and Marine shipyard. If you compare this boat to a 31 Uniflite it has almost the same configuration.
The hull and deck are hand-laid fiberglass. It is a hard chine semi-displacement hull design.
The hull sides have been painted with AWLGRIP.
CSR Marine just completed a bottom upgrade including epoxy barrier coat and new paint this summer.

Large access hatches in cockpit provide easy access for engine and mechanical maintenance. Ample side decks for moving forward when fishing. A custom "get home" outboard motor bracket is installed at the transom top to the aft end of the swim platform. It can handle up to 10 HP outboard. The anchor windlass has a remote control on the fly bridge. The fly bridge has a comfortable helm seat and two double chairs that convert to lounge seats.

Garmin GPS 186 on the flybridge and a Furuno Navigator GP 30 located at the lower station along with Horizon VHF. A Raytheon ST40 is located at the lower station with a repeater on the flybridge.

This Weldcraft Northwind 28 Flybridge Sedan is a very clean single-diesel powered vessel. A well-maintained comfortable island cruising boat. You'll very seldom find a sedan-style fiberglass boat in this size range and price range with quality diesel power and thruster.
Radke Marine replaced valve cover gaskets during subsequent valve inspection, again, no major issues observed. This inspection was done as NC recommended a valve inspection and service Oil evaluation appeared fine.
Recent Dickenson diesel stove professionally installed.
CSR Marine completed striping of all coats of bottom paint and replaced with 4-coat epoxy.
Engine and V-drive oil changed.
New Racor fuel filters
Felix Industries competed a Full detail including a wet sand upper fly bridge to remove oxidation. Recent Sunbrella cleaning and waterproofing of fly bridge canvas.
Replaced two 8D with newer batteries.
Where can you find a 28 Sedan diesel powered with fly-bridge at this price? This is not a project boat, it is ready to cruise now!
