This vessel was designed by Art Nordvedt. Art was involved in the creation of Uniflite Yachts, Nordic Yachts, Fast Passage Sailboats and many other custom yachts. The vessel was built in Bellingham, Washington at the Weldcraft Steel and Marine shipyard. If you compare this boat to a 31 Uniflite it has almost the same configuration.

The hull and deck are hand-laid fiberglass. It is a hard chine semi-displacement hull design.

The hull sides have been painted with AWLGRIP and are in very good condition.

The last survey, 2004, stated the bottom was in good condition with no visible signs of blisters.

Broker's Comments

This Weldcraft Northwind 28 Flybridge Sedan is a very clean single-diesel powered vessel. With the stern thruster it is an easy boat to handle in close quarters.

It has been well-maintained and provides a couple with a very comfortable island cruising boat. You very seldom find an older sedan-style fiberglass boat in this size range with diesel power and a thruster.
