With over 400 boats built the Gemini has been one of the most popular cruising catamarans in the U.S.

Hull construction is very conventional with a solid lay-up of fiberglass mat, woven roving and polyester resin. The decks are cored with end grain balsa for stiffness.

There are polyurethane-coated plywood centerboards in each hull which, when fully retracted, require a scant 18" of draft. With the boards down the draft is 4' 9".

There are twin rudders made of the same material which are adjustable to several depths.

Power is supplied by a 40 HP outboard. The OB is also connected to the twin rudders for better control.

There is easy access to the foredeck from either side. Built into the foredeck are two storage lockers.

Capacities and dimensions are not independently verified by Waterline Boats / Boatshed and are reported from the seller and/or literature.

Broker's Comments

The Gemini Cruising Cat has been one of the most popular catamarans in the U.S. Because of its large interior and three staterooms it has proven to be a great family boat. And Its ability to travel in shallow water with boards and rudders up make it easy to beach.

The large aft cockpit and foredeck make it comfortable to sail in any weather. Being a catamaran it can also sail very fast.

All of the exterior and interior wood work as been recently refinished. The old headliner was removed and all overheads were painted.

A big interior, great working deck, large cockpit and just plain fun to sail.
