Broker's Comments
Boatshed Kent are delighted to be presenting this Sigma 41 for sale.
Sigma's have an excellent reputation as fast and stable cruiser racers, the 41 being the largest in the range. From the drawing board of the well known designer David Thomas, the 41 was designed with tough ocean conditions in mind and has built a reputation as a favourite for bluewater cruisers.
In addition to envious sailing characteristics, the 41 has the added comfort of spacious accommodation, featuring two double cabins including a large forward cabin, a double aft cabin with ensuite heads, easily sleeping 9 if needed, also with 2 smaller pilot berths and quarter berth.
The spacious C shaped saloon, with large drop leaf table provides plenty of comfort with a well equipped galley which has plenty of workable space for preparing meals, sits across from a sizeable navigation station.
When I visited the boat, I was impressed by a clean and tidy presentation. This version has been owned over the last 24 years by an experienced, professional sailor and looks to have been well cared for with a consistent plan of investment in maintaining and upgrading the boat. These details are listed throughout the advert, but key examples include new and little used sails in 2019, refurbished engine, new deck professionally fitted in 2017 and upgraded navigation instruments in 2022. Furthermore, the sails have been removed and stowed inside after every trip and the boat stored ashore each winter.
Whilst visiting the boat, the owner suggested to me that there is no better example of this boat and having brokered many boats and seen this example, I can well see why the claim is made.
If you are looking for a serious, well sized cruiser racer, capable of ocean going passage making in relative speed and comfort, which presents in good condition and excellent specification, this boat should be considered.
The boat is currently ashore (February/March 2024).
If you would like any further information or to arrange a private viewing, then please contact our office and we would be pleased to help.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
