Broker's Comments
I have been involved in the sale of quite a few Bayliners, but never one of these. I really like the open plan feel of the saloon and wheelhouse. Ideal for a couple or young family, she has a great living space for those weekends away in the sunshine, but if the weather turns there is room to simply stay indoors!
The forepeak berth is a good size, and there is a little cabin under the saloon area, just the job for a couple of little ones. The saloon seating transforms into a double berth just in case you need it.
This boat has the Mercruiser 7.4 MPi on a Bravo 3 leg, so there is plenty of power there. I have started to think that “petrol is the new diesel” as prices have changed, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. With a single petrol you get half the servicing bills, and a much lighter, quieter engine. She will cruise at 20-25 knots, but give you up to 35 if you want it. You may be using a few more litres to the hour – but think how much further you can go within that hour!
Anyway, I like this boat, I love a fly bridge, you can see everything clearly, and the remote controlled bow thruster makes manoeuvring a doddle!
Give me a ring here at Boatshed Port Solent, and we’ll get along to the drystack and have a look. By the way, she is stored dry, indoors, a brilliant innovation.
