On deck measurement is 42 Feet. Length overall is 49 feet including boomkin and bowsprit. Originally built as a gaff-rigged schooner for the Forbes family. Built of mahogany carvel planks in 1965, in 2002 she was stripped of paint, completely refastened with bronze fasteners under the waterline and the entire hull was recalked by Dave Thompson of Port Townsend. The decks and house are fiberglass covered marine plywood. Her gaff rig and wood spars were replaced with aluminum masts and the bowsprit shortened by six feet to compensate. Today her paint is fresh and everywhere you look is beautifully finished.

Broker's Comments

Drastic Price Reduction! If you have an affinity for traditional, classic-designed wooden yachts (and who doesn't?) you must see this beautiful Alden Schooner. With over $90,000 invested in her since 2009 she appears almost flawless. Her deck and hull colors, modern rigging and egyptian colored sails make this vessel a head turner. She is strong and in need of nothing but loading of your personal gear and your dreams of adventure. She's a Panama Canal veteran and well known among the Northwest's wooden boat enthusiasts. You may not ever find a more beautiful boat. It is turn key and ready for ocean passages!
