Broker's Comments

Sailed from Hawaii to Thailand by her owner of 20 years, this vessel has gone through a 20 year project of rebuilding / refitting to a modern, yet simple standard, resulting in an open and airy accommodation. Having gone from the cold Seattle original home base to Hawaii and finally Thailand, there have been many modifications which work well in the tropics and have given the vessel a much more comfortable accommodation.
She is a proven, ship-shape, ocean crossing vessel. and has been a successful live-aboard dive boat, charter fishing boat and a very comfortable home.
Starting in 2004 and completed in 2007, 100% of the frames were “sistered” from deck to keel using laminated white oak and West Systems Epoxy. 30% of the planking was replaced, the entire boat was re-caulked and sealed and 100% refastened with top grade silicone bronze fasteners. Also new fore and aft stringers, intermediate frames and worm shoe were installed.
In 2010, the vessel was rewired in both 12 volt and 110 volt. In 2015, 220 volt was added.
Between 2013 and 2018, the house, flybridge, teak topped line locker, forward opening deck hatch, mast step, teak cockpit, glass windows, bulkhead veneers and floorboards were all installed. During this period all storage areas and closets were finished in white Formica. A new honeycomb fiberglass flybridge top was built in 2017. During each refit phase, work was done utilizing only quality materials, woods and workmanship.
The original hull was built using Alaskan yellow cedar which is unattainable today in long lengths. Knowledge of the Port Townsend wooden boat building community led to the discovery of Silver Bali, a wood out of Honduras. 5000 pounds of Silver Bali and White Oak were shipped to Hawaii and used in the rebuild.

Thai Flagged.
