The hull below the waterline has been stripped of all antifoul and given a clean bill of health by a local surveyor. A copy of his report is available on request. Subsequently the hull received 2 coats of Gel Shield epoxy (see image) before the application of a fresh coat of antifoul. Above the water line a fresh boot top has been applied and the hull thoroughly polished and waxed. The decks and coachroof have been cleaned and all varnish removed from teak. As one would expect from a 19 year old boat some blemishes remain, but these are purely cosmetic.

Although the tankage of the holding tank is unknown, it is usually in the region of 40 litres

Broker's Comments

The Island Packet 350, an upgraded version of the Island Packet 35, offers more than your average 35 foot yacht. The high quality build and fit out is immediately apparent and she feels bigger than her 35 feet thanks to her design. On deck she has a good sized cockpit with plenty of seating and useful locker space and wide side decks making it easy to move around unimpeded. She has a One-piece integral hull and keel which means there are no keel bolts to maintain, loosen or leak. Furthermore her long keel design ensures a sea kindly vessel capable of long distance and ocean cruising

This Island Packet has recently undergone a major makeover inside and out with the internal furniture having been restored back to showroom condition throughout. The saloon upholstery was also replaced as part of the refurbishment program.

Externally all exposed wood has been taken back to original and recoated. Below the waterline all the old antifoul has been removed. Following a clean bill of health from a surveyor she has had 2 additional coats of gel shield epoxy treatment and a fresh cost of antifoul.

Standing and running rigging has been replaced.

Her engine was removed, stripped and rebuilt from the bottom up.

All in all this is a very well built and solid blue water cruising yacht and we think it is quite special and consider it very unlikely that you will find an Island Packet 350 of this age to match the condition of this yacht outside of a showroom. All of the work that one would expect to undertake, ie engine recondition, rigging replacement and antifoul removal has been done. One should remember that this is a 20 year old boat and there are still some external wear and tear blemishes that could not be removed, however these are light and cosmetic.

All of the issues relating to safety and the safe running of the boat, raised during the recent survey, have been addressed.

If you are looking for an Island Packet 350, this one should most definitely be on your list. If buying from outside the UK; eg USA, the current exchange rate makes this an even more attractive proposition.

Please note; the photographs of her afloat were taken before any of the work was started.

Also available by separate negotiation is a inflatable and outboard.
