Broker's Comments
There are normally two types of boat owner.
The first spend a great deal of time and money getting their boats to the best possible condition they can. The second group, shall we say care less about the aesthetics and more about the sailing experience.
The owner of this particular vessel has just created a third group - the totally obsessed!
This boat is 41 years old and looks like it was built yesterday.
The Mevagissey Tosher was originally a favourite craft for the fishermen of that village and were built to withstand the rigours of year round hardcore fishing.
Terry Heard used an original example to make the moulds for a range of Toshers back in the seventies and this is one of the very first and the only one I have seen that has remained open, as most end up with a cabin added.
The boat has been totally rebuilt and is absolutely immaculate in every respect. There are two sets of sails, a custom made brand new road trailer and quality oozes out everywhere.
