About Brad Lefton
It's often said, "do what you love." Don't hold it against me, but professionally I started life as an attorney....although primarily handling contract writing and negotiating while involved in extensive overseas assignments.
Finally, I am doing what I love - talking about and being around boats, daily. However, my boating history spans almost 25 years....mostly sailing. I started with my "learner" boat; a 27' O'Day sloop with tiller steering. One of my most enjoyable experiences was taking the entire summer of 2009 off to solo sail from Seattle through the San Juans and the Gulf Islands of Canada. I have since upgraded to a beautiful Bavaria 35E that is moored right near the office on Lake Union.
My most challenging boating experience was sailing aboard a friend's boat from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in the 2018 Baja Ha Ha Regatta. Unfortunately, we had to set out with a broken autopilot. Sailing downwind - wing on wing overnight was a demanding accomplishment of navigation. Much easier than using a constantly rotating GPS screen or moving compass was to stay lined up with stars. Tiring, indeed! But a worthwhile experience.
If you want to work with a broker for new or used boats in the Seattle area, one with strong negotiating skills while remaining personable at the same time....I'm your guy!
