Broker's Comments

Boarding this very clean and professionally maintained CD36 hull #40 has a large deep cockpit with new bimini canvas that seats four comfortably. It has a well appointed main cabin and galley also good sized v-berth cabin forward providing ample accommodation for up to 6 people through out or a couple either as a Coastal or Blue water cruiser.
Many nice upgrades have been made to the boat over the last 8-9 yrs to include new Yanmar 4 cyl. diesel engine, new Cruise Air conditioning system & a new custom built cabin sole, bow sprit & all new standing rigging. Under sail in light or higher wind conditions the CD36 handles beautifully under all points with it's self tending cutter rig and new Harken roller furling & main sheet traveller system makes for easy tacking coming thru the wind.
Cape Dory built 166 CD36's Between 1974 and 1987 at their yard in East Taunton, Massachusetts to Carl Alberg traditional Classic design. Cape Dory ceased operations in 1991 although the CD36 molds were brought by Robin hood Marine in Maine where the boat is still available today under the Robin hood 36 name sake.
