Broker's Comments

At Boatshed Cornwall we are enthused to list this Ballad 30 (Albin) sailing yacht for sale.

One of the most popular sailing yachts of this size ever built in Scandinavia. An evolution of the JOKER S30(1968). (IOR 1/2 ton) After Albin Marine went out of business in 1982, the moulds were acquired by the Ballad One-Design Association and leased to a number of different yards in Sweden that built a few more boats until 1998.

This yacht was found at her pontoon berth and looks clean and tidy from the outside. Once onboard, it appeared to be well maintained.

This yacht has been configured for shorthanded sailing.

Electric windlass with remote control
Engine (Original replaced by a Volvo circa 1997)
Windows (renewed professionally 2018)
New mainsail and Genoa covers (2021)
Renewed sprayhood (2021)
Saloon table (Not onboard)
Depth sounder X 2 (renewed 2023)
Log
Radio
AIS transponder

Whilst in the current ownership, this yacht has sailed from the Netherlands to Falmouth. From Falmouth to the Isles of Scilly and Brittany. In 2006 it circumnavigated around Britain clockwise.

This Ballad has been used and well maintained it would seem, by the numerous upgrades it has received recently. These are popular yachts and more information can be gained about these yachts from the UK Ballad association website.
