Broker's Comments
A true classic this Bowman 36 appears to be in lovely condition throughout. Her topsides look to be in great condition too. Shoe boasts a bowthruster and a good suite of electronics. She has just come ashore.
Notes from the Owner:
The boat was built for the owner of Chiswell Marine and fitted out to a very high specification with a teak interior.Fidget is a long-keeled, Bermuda-rigged, offshore cruising boat that has been well-maintained and updated by recent owners. The Bowman 36 is now a Classic, well known for her sea-kindly characteristics that make her such a comfortable cruiser. The main cabin has 2 settee bunks, a pilot berth and a quarter berth by the large chart table that doubles as the engine cover. The galley has a gimballed gas cooker with oven, a double sink and a fridge with an ice box. The forepeak has a double V shaped bunk with interior sprung mattresses. A heads with basin and shower is located to port between the main cabin and forepeak with spacious hanging cupboards to starboard. An Eberspacher heater with 3 outlets provides warmth when required.Rigged with a fully battened mainsail with lazy jacks on single line reefing, a choice of two furling genoas - the second can be set on an inner roller forestay - and a cruising chute. All lines lead aft to the cockpit and are held with jam cleats for short-handed sailing. Wheel and tiller steering are available. A 45lb CQR anchor with over 40m of chain, a Lewmar windlass, 6-man liferaft, a life-ring with light and an 'Oscar' man-overboard recovery line and strop are fitted.A reliable Mercedes diesel engine, very large fuel and water tanks give the boat long endurance and a bow-thruster aids manoeuvrability in tight marinas. Robust electrics, an efficient solar panel, and an excellent, integrated Raymarine navionics system with chart plotter, radar, radio with AlS and autohelm backed up by a stand-alone Garmin plotter for the helmsman make for easy navigation.
