Sailors and marine carpenters for several generations, TRAPANI SHIPYARDS have been a reference in marine construction for several decades.
Located in the heart of Lacydon (old Port of Marseille), Eugène and Michel TRAPANI creators of the shipyards contributed in the first half of the 20th century to the great Marseille marine epic by building many boats of all types.
SEVERAL GENERATIONS OF MARINE CARPENTERS, AT THE SERVICE OF LOCAL ARTISANS...
Builders of boats and sailors from father to son, from southern Italy, the TRAPANI put their know-how at the service of fishermen and transporters throughout the region. Nowadays, many of their boats and ships are still in service.
... AND PROFESSIONALS OF THE SEA
During the great commercial exchanges of the 1930s, the need for transporting goods by water was considerable. The regulatory and natural constraints were extreme. The name TRAPANI was among the most requested and reliable at that time and many ships of a respectable size came out of the TRAPANI SHIPYARDS...
CASSIS, A NEW BOOM
The 1940s saw the installation of Georges TRAPANI and the SHIPYARD in Cassis. He continued the ship building tradition and participated in the evolution of all types of boats throughout his career including a long series of pleasure boats in the early 1960s and the construction of passenger transport tourist boats during the development of tourism. Thus a new chapter in the history of the TRIPANI yard was written culminating in Eugène and Jean TRAPANI taking over in the 1980s.

Broker's Comments
Motor sailor for sale in the south of France. Boatshed SudMed is pleased to offer this classic TRAPANI wooden motor sailor for sale.
A boat for the passionate and a very good base with a great potential. This is a piece of Mediterranean maritime history just waiting for someone with the time and passion to complete her restoration.
In spite of ten years ownership and much investment, our vendors' business commitments have prevented her completing the restoration as she would wish and would now be happy for a new owner to take over to enjoy the vessel as she would have liked to.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
