Broker's Comments
Purchased by the current owners in 2010 this Dutch Barge has been extensively remodelled inside to create a large houseboat.
Inside she offers a large lounge area, kitchen, utility room, small study area, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The kitchen is fully fitted and comes with lots of storage, an American style fridge freezer, Rangemaster cooker, microwave and dishwasher. The connected utility room has further cupboard storage and plumbing is available for both washing machine and dishwasher.
All bathrooms have walk-in showers and baths, two of which are multi jet spa baths.
The barge is fully insulated and heating is provided by either a gas fired boiler and radiator system or there is a wood burning stove in the lounge, which I am told by the owner produces an enormous amount of heat.
The houseboat also has a separate generator just in case of a power cut.
The houseboat does NOT have an engine and so will need to be towed to her new destination.
In terms of mooring, please note that the vessel cannot stay where she currently lies and on completion she cannot be used as a liveaboard. On completion the new owner would need to make arrangements to have her moved to a new location. The boatyard has suggested this needs to happen within 6 months and will assist wherever possible.
