This six cylinder Volvo runs very smooth and allows cruising with very reasonable noise levels inside. Power is more than adequate for this relatively light boat and provides plenty of reserve if needed. Engine spares include a spare starter, new injectors, impeller, zincs and other parts. The Volvo reversing gear was recently rebuilt.
The engine is fitted with a 107 amp Balmar high output alternator. Shore power battery charging by a Professional Mariner charger. A Xantrex inverter provides AC power.

Perma Glass was a commercial boat building company in British Columbia and for a few years in the early 1980's turned out a number of these nice little 33 and 34 foot hulls for recreational yacht use. Most of these were custom finished to the owner's specifications so the interior layouts and materials varied considerably. The hull is, as you might expect, very well made with solid fiberglass below the water line and cored construction above. Looking at the pictures -- you can see in the bilge the heavy roving with minimal resin used in the hull layup. The hull design is relatively narrow of beam and slips easily through the water allowing a good cruise of 7-9 knots at only 1.75 gph. The current owner, an experienced marine surveyor and delivery captain who had built and owned several yachts before this one, selected this as his "last boat" and it has served him and his family well for several years traveling throughout Northwest waters.
