Norstar boats are built with hand-laid fiberglass hulls and vinylester resins in the outer layers. Decks and superstructure are balsa-cored. Bulkheads are marine ply.
The hull is protected by a heavy-duty sheerguard and midguard. Decks include molded non-skid. Fuel tanks are aluminum and include sightglass backup level indication. Water tanks are stainless steel. The waste tank is polypropylene. Bilges are gel-coated. Teak and holly interior decking. Extensive engine room sound insulation. Washdown at cockpit and bow. Swim step / boarding platform includes storage lockers which also function as live wells.

This boat appears to strike a good balance. Its large, roomy pilothouse and its spacious interior accommodations will be great for comfortable cruising. And its large, secure cockpit, trolling valves, and storage for fishing gear prepare it for serious fishing. It is very well powered to cover long distances quickly and reliably. The wide side decks and high railings will be appreciated when anchoring or docking. The flybridge offers comfortable seating and a commanding view. With a watermaker and a generator this boat is unusually well-equipped.

Norstar boats are highly-regarded for their hull performance and for the quality of their construction.
