Rig

Schooner rigged Aluminium spars (1986) with Galvanised standing rigging ()

Sails

Reefing mainsail - Slab () Fully Battened, Lazy Jacks, 4 Reefs
Headsail - Hank On ()
Other sails foresail ()
fisherman ()

These are Junk rigged sails with full battens. This type of rig has proven to provide a great variety of adjustment to varying wind conditions. Ease of handling and great efficiency for long distance cruising are the hallmarks of the junk rig. It should be noted that an advantage of this type of Schooner junk rig provides a much lower center of effort from the combined sail area and is adjustable to keep that center of effort low to add to the overall stability when sailing in heavy weather conditions.

All sails are in need of minor maintenance. The last survey notes that sails to be serviceable but that much of the running rigging needs attention.
