Broker's Comments

Boatshed London are pleased to offer this 42ft Dutch Barge Tjalk for sale with London residential mooring,

Built around 1910, this sailing barge was converted to liveaboard about twenty years ago and has been at Poplar for the last eleven years.

This barge has stacks of character and would make a great liveaboard boat for a couple or individual. The forward cabin currently has a single bed but can be modified to make it into a double cabin.

The bright saloon/galley has seating that also converts into a double as well as a mixed fuel stove and compact galley with cooker, fridge and oven.

The residential mooring at Poplar Dock is fully transferable to any new owner on payment of a 5% transfer fee. Current mooring fees are roughly £7,200 p.a.. The marina has great facilities with laundry, onsite staff, shower and loo block, communal BBQ area and is very secure.

Poplar Dock Marina lies just to the east of Canary Wharf and has excellent transport links into Central London. Blackwall DLR - 5 minutes walk. Canary Wharf Jubilee Line - 12 minutes walk.
